There are many unhappy members today …..A win doesn’t fit their narrative Dave. And poor old RC bantam chucking out hand grenades that end up wet bangers after being in hiding all close season . A win has truly made my day on many many counts .

Opening day win beats the trend of six seasons .
Opposition for six seasons in a row have played possession based football.
Let’s face it they were toothless up front as it was midfield who had their best opportunities.

Well done all , it messed up what has become a pretty tiresome narrative .

Lastly well done to the squad and footballing management .

We didn’t get bullied today by their lone forward . He was poor .

 

Rode our luck but great performance. Who was the defender who missed the ball for their goal? Clearly Halliday thought they were going to clear.

 

The whole place is a waste of money. It’s no better than Harlow and will never produce attendances . Home support was absolutely non existant . Well done to the City fans … Superb and lots of southern exiles in attendance .

 

Was 4-1 in the corresponding fixture last year and although we had a very comfortable win at home they created a lot of chances. We were told by several pundits on here we were going tonget hammered today and we won. Some people are only happy when they can basque in negativity

 

They looked to be all 6 ft 7 in the highlights !

 

Each of the defenders had great individual moments, but was a bit worried at the space between them at times - said in an earlier post it was like a parting of the waves.
But not everyone will pass through us like mk did and hopefully the bonds will form. Thought Smallwood used his experience and broke things up well today

 

We can’t have won! Our defenders are rubbish according to the glooms on here, our recruitment has been dreadful they say, Alexander will be sacked by October. Carlisle have recruited really well we’re told regularly. Bantam J wanted the protesters back after we lost a friendly at Guiseley!! Our squad is terrible apparently but they’ve just won their 6th league game on the bounce and 4th successive away win.

 

Defensively we must tighten up-we were all over the place looking at these highlights

 

Matty Platt is better than all 3 that played today. That's not even an argument.

 

Wright was fine in that position last season. Significantly that coincided with him getting match fit.

Remember, he had a few niggles when he joined us recently and so will take a few games to get to full speed - as we've seen with lots of good players (Garry Thompson is a good example) over the seasons.

He also won't be up against many teams who carry the same attacking threat as MK.

 

We defended well from the midfield to defence.

Lucky not to concede 5, what game were you watching?. I thought we were relatively comfortable most of the game and saw the game out very well.

 

Should have had a couple more? Where exactly? Two shots on target and two shots off target. I know this place can blinded by a score line but let's not get carried away. We will play a lot better than that this season and lose.
