Anyone unhappy with the defending is justified. Unless fans are scrolling Facebook when MK Dons attack? Their finishing has been one of the worst I’ve seen in a while but they could and should have had 4/5 goals

I actually wasn't worried for the last 20 minutes and was delighted at the way we tried to pass the ball out as opposed to panic clearances.

Yes, of course MK Dons should have and could have scored - but the big thing we needed to improve on was defending these narrow leads, i.e. think Crawley at home last season and we did that.

Clap out to Odour who showed more fight and nous in his 15 minutes (or so) then he did for all of last season.

Unexpected opening day win.

Well done to the players, hard fought win.

Plenty to be optimistic about, plenty of work also needed.

LWB is a big issue for me.

We have to find room for Jamie Walker in the starting X1 for me.

Shepherd to come in and move Kelly more centrally or sign another stopper because I think we will get bullied by the more physical teams at the back.

Sam Walker, Pattison and Sarcevic stand our players for me, although I think Sarcevic faded a lot after the hour mark.

Quite a few years since we won our first game of the season, let's hope we can cash in with 2 home games In league now.

 

Which is why they are favourites. They always create chances. When they got stuffed by both us on Stockport last season - they still created a load of chances.

 

The game was walking pace last 20mins, especially them, just slowly passing it about at back

 

Not massively. There were 3 or 4 opportunities where a bit more weight on the ball and we had a clear cut chance. They are a very good side

 

Shoulda, coulda, woulda, but they didn't, there wont be many teams go there and come away with three point be happy.

 

I expected us to lose, because MK Dons have gone for broke with the players they have bought.

It doesn't really matter if we've "mugged them". Let's not forget Cook could have done better with a chance and they nearly gave us another own goal.

I was impressed. Particularly given that this was Pattison's first full game in nearly a year and Wright will get fitter and better in that role.

There's a reason why we've now won 7 out of 8 and drew the other one. We've not got good players all over the pitch. Yes, some decision making, as shown by Kavanagh, needs to better. But we look an all round decent team.
