I'm not the slightest bit excited or hopeful of this season. Defence was ok last season but I can't see where we strengthened it so we aren't going to boost our GD by conceding less.

Pretty much no changes in midfield apart from another signed who is essentially going to be one of three players who won't manage 30 games each in Walker, Pattison & Sarcevic.

Same old same old with young, Kav & Smith are ok as second strikers but aren't going to make a Wells/ Hanson partnership with Cook, whose shoulders are going to have to be huge again to carry the load. Back up centre forward who makes Isiaih Rankin look like the Brazillian Ronaldo.

Top ten at the very best, starting with a heavy defeat today. I hope I'm wrong.

It's hard to see where Pointon fits in when everyone is fit. I think his chance will be at LWB like in pre-season unfortunately as Alexander did use him there last season also during one game from memory
