Won't be Accrington. They've just signed Costelloe on loan for the season.

Lies and smoke mirrors getting exposed from
City who’d have thought it . Top journalism in my opinion.

Well well well, more BS from the club eh?!

Rupps promise of extra investment clearly not happened after GAs comments yesterday.

Dont you worry about that. You just worry about how you are going to spin Rupps extra investment.....

Clearly down to GA if we do. Get your abacus out because you are pretty much alone in thinking Rupp has added to the playing budget this summer.

Teams going for it with spare cash dont sign crocks from Mansfield, 31 year old Stockport reserves or loans from Barnsley.

Be interesting to see how he does. Wouldn't be the first player to do well elsewhere after a spell with us as i see Rumarn Burell now at Burton in league 1.

Well they've announced him as a bit of a marquee signing so they're clearly expecting big things from him.

He scored well at Scottish L1 level, but isn't that like NLN/NLD equivalent? Big step up.

What I love about this is he's clearly stating that if an owner wants to invest by way of shares they can do so for however much they want but they won't get it repaid.

If they want it to be repaid then it needs to be a loan and wouldn't qualify for counting as FFP under the football fortune element.

So, it's up to our owner to decide if he wants to invest to get promotion BUT he won't be able to get it back.

To me, with the deals so far, it still feels like we're aiming for promotion but trying to do it under certain self-applied financial rules which feels like we're not really pushing the boat out. What I mean by this, in my mind, instead of buying a "level 1" league two centre back we're buying a "level 2" league two centre back and hoping that they over achieve up to "level 1" level on their previous performance levels. We're taking a punt on people like Byrne, Baldwin et al that in a certain system they will perform better than previous years. For me, Sarcevic is the opposite - paying for a "level 1" midfielder, of course no guarantee he will continue to perform at that level, but paying out more gives a higher probability.

Seems like Walsall and Harrogate fans think he's signing for their clubs.

The only difference between league 1 and league 2 is that league 1's limit is 60% and league 2 is 55%, the Championship is where is completely changes as it's then measured on losses. Owner's gifting of money is limitless but it has risks as an owner could pull that funding at any moment like we saw with Derby, Wigan and Bury. For me it is ridiculous as that's not sustainability that's gambling the future of the club on 1 person, it should be limited to long term benefits of the club like stadium and training ground projects.
I think Salford could be in for a shock as it looks like had enough of financing them so Gary Neville has bought his shares and they are looking for someone else to invest so their budgets are likely to go down a lot if they want to survive.

It’s common knowledge we’re doing everything on the cheap. I’d rather us bin off Sharpe as he pretty lied to us all in his “exclusive” interview and bring some honesty/transparency into the club

So basically we want this yank at the dogs to get bored really soon and pull his funding.
