2024 Released Players & City transfer rumours

A very logical post mate but for some reason if we haven't signed loads of players as in previous seasons the closed season has been a disaster, remember when Bowyer signed Donaldson and Vaughn to add to Doyle fans were ecstatic saying opposition defences wouldn't be able to handle those guys, scoring a bag full each, well we all know how that finished.
Lets give these guys at least 10+ games to see how they perform, I'm far from disillusioned and actually think Alexander cant get this squad to perform. .

 

As did Millwall after getting the backside kicked by Barnsley in the previous play off final, and it worked unfortunately we were on the receiving end.

 

Totally agree. Starting to think my post did not come across this way? Genuinely looking forward to this season based on less upheaval.

That's simply wrong.

People are slightly disillusioned due to the perceived quality of the signings and what they believe is a failure to strengthen key areas.

The actual number of signings hasn't been an issue on posts that I've read.

 

We didn't last year, we mostly played with a front 2 and a midfield 3 of Smallwood at the base and two "number 8s".

 

This. Not just this summer but last summer as well there were many of us saying we just needed 5 or 6 quality additions, I don't recall anyone asking for a complete rebuild then or now.

 

Its not about quantity, its about quality. Moronic and ignorrant for even suggesting some of us fans think that.

 

A settled squad something we've missed for years.
It would appear from what I've witnessed at games and on social media that we seem to have nertured a togetherness amongst our playing staff going into the new season.
Some would say that won't win you a game of football alone but it sure as hell will be beneficial when other squads are finding their feet to adapt to one another.

 

There have been many giving their opinion on our signing, you've made your thoughts very clear I'd class that as disillusioned, a guy who wasn't a regular in Stockport County was not in your opinion the sort of signing we should be making.

Random move from the league. Charlie Austin has moved to AFC Totton in the 7th tier. Surprised he didn't find another L2 club after 18 goal involvements last season and featuring in all 46 matchdays, at his age.

 

He’s probably ballooned over the summer . He was putting it on late last term?

 

We had Cook and Kav, replaced by Oliver and Smith. Hence the reason (in my opinion) why Young didn’t come on 3-5-2. I think we’ll need to get Walker on the pitch with Sarcevic and Pattison, which might mean that one of Kavanagh, Young, Smith, Oduor or Pointon will scrap for the final place, with Cook or Oliver up front in a 3-5-1-1

Based on what we've played in friendly's, anyone think we could be playing 3/5/2 this season instead of 3/4/3 ?
