I don't define him by the howlers. I define him by being 27 and his only season as a first choice CB resulted in being part of a side that conceded a league high total.

Yeah I get that, but Notts woeful defence can't have been solely down to him. Obviously GA sees enough in him. I might be wrong and he might turn out to be useless, but his videos (where he isn't falling over the ball) shows that he can play a bit.

 

Well I know who I believe and it isn't that serial liar Ryan Sparks.

 

That was my point though, I'm not solely pointing to just a single season. I'm asking the question why, at 26, he had never been a first team regular at any level. It's only when he joined Notts that he actually made a first team role his own.

I don't think we should be trying to get Crichlow back. He isn't a GA defender. Would rather have a tall, get it clear lad who isn't afraid of putting the effort in. GA would get Crichlow in and then never play him because he isn't bothered about defenders who can pass really so let's not waste money on him, rather bring in a Piergianni type that he would actually play.

It happens. I hope it happens for him here. But I still would like a big brute of a CB who goes for everything and leaves Baldwin et al to do the rest.

 

I don't really mind Smith. I think he's got a bit about him. His first full season was last season and if he can get in the team and score goals then fair play to him. This league isn't a strikers paradise though. There are always strikers dropping down and new ones coming up from the national league so let's hope he takes his chances.

 

Are you suggesting if no one bought season tickets it would help us get out of the league? Did you buy one?

 

We definitely need one more either way but hopefully you're right and everything clocks for the defensive unit. I've certainly nothing against any of them and they'll certainly get my backing initially. Fingers crossed I end up looking rather silly come May time.

Then take one of the youngsters for experience. We took enough players who can play as a centre back if required.
