Go on, admit it. You didn't even bother to read it properly did you?

17 have left the club and 9 have come in (thats including Oliver returning and 3 kids). 8 less players on contracts (7 if you bump up Bobby new deal). But we have been told countless times we need to shift more players on before bringing in. What are you exactly questioning?

    Senior Pros (8)
Ridehalgh, Cousin-Dawson, Chapman, Hendrie, Derbyshire, Platt, Taylor, Odusina

    Youth Pros (6)
Youmbi, Rowe, Richardson, Robinson, Wadsworth, Bentley

    Loans (3)
    Oyegoke, Tomkinson, Wright

    Senior Pros (5)
    Baldwin, Johnson, Sarcevic, Byrne, Wright

    Youth Pros (3)
    Ibbitson, Wadsworth, Hadi

    Loans (1)
    Oliver

Ive tried to spell it out to him with facts but he will contimue to take the Rupp/Sparks soundbites at face value.

We wont settle for mediocrity, we will be meaner and leaner, yadda yadda yadda...you would think he had learnt by now.

I can see us conceding 20 more and scoring 10 less. That tells it's own story

Poster who provides no evidence for their opinions asks others to provide evidence for their opinions.

    Agree with your review.

We have fewer players, and last seasons budget should adequately cover the ‘additions’ even allowing for inflation and have something left over.

l can see no obvious signs of extra funds being spent by Rupp to enhance the chance of promotion.

I think the scoring of 20 more actually feels more possible than tightening up at the other end. I can see a fully fit Pattison and Sarcevic making a difference from midfield but we'll need either Young, Kavanagh or Smith to really have a breakout season too too really support Cook who, once again, we're over reliant on.

That back line though ..... I honestly haven't got any positives. The players we had needed strengthening and for me we've seriously weakened it instead.

I keep saying this but without the signing of Sarcevic, our business so far is looking extremely poor, and I am finding it extremely difficult to muster an ounce of excitement for MK Dons away in less than 2 weeks time

Before then, however, I think Sunderland will absolutely wallop us and I don’t think we’ll even get a draw at Altrincham

I just can’t help feeling shit on yet again by Rupp & Co and I will be amazed if we are anywhere near the top 10 in the first few months. Having so many season ticket holders sign up again has probably also gone against us, as the club think it’s “job done” as they’ve hooked us in yet again

    Absolutely bloody demoralising

Couldn't agree more. Uninspiring is how I would describe our summer business. I want to feel excited and optimistic about the new season but I just can't muster any enthusiasm for it at the minute. Everything just feels so..... flat.

If we hadnt got 14k and only 10k, I reckon Wyke could be a City player now to try and plug that gap. Other business would be better too.

But like you say, job already done, so they can cut corners do it on the cheap.

What extra investment is that ? So far all I can see are solar panels and some grass. This window is possibly the least inspiring for many many years.

The guy is for sale, on the transfer list and they obviously want rid. What sort of price are they wanting for him? £50k? Id say that sounds reasonable. The stumbling block could be his wages - guessing he is on 4-5k.

Bizarre we tried to loan him.

Just screaming out to me that we are spent up, or as good as spent up. There's zero evidence that this extra money is available, he said in March he needed to move away from the model they had been using and again, it just looks like we are in the self sustainable boat.

Looking at our window so far, is there anyone we wouldn't have signed if Rupp had kept his mouth shut about giving us a better budget? If we'd have just blindly carried on with no promises from above, there's no player in the doorway that wouldn't have been here anyways for me. It's the fact that he committed to changing and there's zero to show.

We havent attracted/signed a single player we wouldnt have signed previous summers.

Sarcevic - decent, but aged 32 and winding down
Johnson - injury prone, released by Mansfield
Byrne - Stockport reserve, told to find another club
Baldwin - released by Notts County
Wright - his 3rd spell with us now

They have speculated a little bit on Wright - he is young, has something and will have cost a fee, so credit there, but the rest are just very Bradford City signings.

If they went out and paid a fee for Crichlow, and matched his Posh wage I wouldn't be against that and it would satisfy the promise of investment - a tad. Appreciate some fans wernt massive fans but there is a lot of upside with Crichlow.

This has happened time and time again and will happen again next season
If season ticket sales took a drastic hit Mr Rupp would have to either invest or better still sell (his ego wouldn't let the club fail)
Why would he invest when the fans do it for him It will never change
One of the many reasons we are stuck in the khazi league

I don't think we should be pushing the boat out for him. I think league 2 is about his level and if we did somehow manage to go up this season, I think he'd struggle again in league 1.

I agree. It doesn't alter the fact that investment in the team has been woeful, but I wouldn't be paying a transfer fee and £4-5k a week for Critchlow.

This is exactly why I did not renew this season after years with a season ticket. I have heard these promises year after year and I have had enough of their emptiness.

I will be paying on the gate when I feel like going and although not optimistic, I hope it's often.
