It was mentioned in an article in the Sheffield Star from Monday that it was against us. We were meant to be playing 2 60 minutes games so would be interested to know if this 2-1 was one of the games or the overall score.

 

I am told Kev Mac has been left out of the Austria trip. He’s been told by GA he isn’t in his plans for next season, and he’s been an awkward bastard ever since. If that’s the case, fair play GA for not taking him. Don’t need a negative presence involved when we’re this close to the start of the new season

 

You have to wonder whether he regrets turning down the opportunity to be considered permanent manager last Autumn

 

Whilst I normally would agree with this I think we owe Mac a bit. He almost sacrificed his season by taking the managerial role he didn’t really want and lost his fitness.

 

I doubt anyone forced him to be caretaker manager.

We owe him nothing at all. If what I’m hearing is true, someone of his experience should deal with things much more professionally than he is doing. The guys been there and done it, captained Fulham in the top flight and is a multi millionaire, he should know better and set a good example to the younger pro’s. Instead, he’s behaving like a petulant child and I hope he gets shipped out sooner rather than later

 

How do you know he is behaving like a petulant child. There is absolutely no evidence of this just like he didn’t have to take the managers Job he has every right not move until he is ready

To be fair, I can't see someone (anyone) who has been through the health issues he has, having the time or inclination to act petulantly

The alternatives to not taking the job were well documented on here he obviously backed his playing ability but there was always a chance the new managed didn't fancy him.

 

Looks like the trialist that played 2nd half against Guiseley has travelled to Austria.
