2024 Released Players & City transfer rumours

That's how i read it too. Tomkinson is most likely out of our league. Permanent signings are preferred but I don't think it's a stretch to say we can find another loanee as good as Oyegoke/ Tomkinson

 

We had an option on Platt though, same as Pointon, and at one point it was reported that we had exercised it. Then he left.

I thought Tomkinson was ok and I would have him back but think we need something more currently.

I thought Crichlow was the better of the two (for us) but just my opinion!

 

Assuming we play a back three, who are the other two centre halves of the required quality?

Stubbs maybe, Kelly at a (very big) push?

Unless Richards or Johnson show something unexpected in that role I'd say we still need two centre backs of decent quality but I'm absolutely convinced that the club don't share my view.

 

Apparently City played Sheff Utd yesterday and lost 2-1. Cook scored. Blades had a decent side out.

 

Not convinced yet that Johnson will have any part to play next season, given he's been injured since he got here and has played less than an hour of competitive football in the whole of 2024.

 

Cracking signing. Its ok though, we looking at trialists from Grimsby and Fylde to cover.

 

Kelly was virtually a mainstay last season so I assume it would be him and Stubbs. I'd be happy with that but Kelly certainly needs to keep improving, then Bryne doing the same role he did well for Stockport

 

What about Baldwin....just saying . I do fully understand the concerns, but hope he surprises us.
