We have at least two new members of staff that I don’t recognise on the videos. Ones a Kevin McDonald look a like. It’s poor comms from the club again and even worse journalism from Parker to not ask the questions about stuff like this and the youth departures.

 

Are you sure the big Kev lookalike wasn't actually big Kev? He was filmed wearing the coaching gear the fist day the players were back in.

 

Port Vale gone under the radar a bit but their transfer business looks very solid on paper.

 

No I think it’s a new fitness/performance coach. Either way it’s terrible comms from an amateurish club which most fans have come to expect.

I think we’ve got used seeing 6,7,8 new players coming through the door, so the lack of numbers have worried a few when in reality we only need to supplement a squad that is largely not that far away. We berated Hughes for the massive changes last season. I’d rather wait for the right player than sign a load of duff. GA has got more things right than wrong, so we should give him the benefit of the doubt.

 

I agree that we didn't want or need another summer where we bring about a dozen players in, think it was 14 last season?

We just needed 5 or 6 in my opinion, depending on who left.

I think most fans have been underwhelmed by the quality of incomings rather than the quantity, especially after starting off well with the signing of Sarcevic.

We still need a quality centre half for me, as well as a keeper to challenge Walker instead of having the goalie coach who will only play in an emergency. By the way has Doyle actually signed a new contract?

 

We seem to have scrimped on the number 2 position the past couple of seasons and it's another sign of cutting corners where possible rather than investing in the squad. I think it’s more important to have one that can really push the number 1 and keep them on their toes rather than that they are there to cover for possible injury, given that can always be sorted by an emergency loan if needs be. I said last summer it was one of the positions we needed to target because I thought Lewis was becoming a bit complacent but we didn't bring anyone in, Lewis was awful and there was nothing we could do about it until January.

 

Not sure your most fans is correct, nearly 14,000 have renewed and are putting their faith in Graham Alexander and the club once again so not I'm quite sure how you come to that conclusion. @BantamJ.

 

I don’t think Bantam j has ever posted anything that doesn’t criticise the club.

 

Colin Doyle does have a contract but for some reason it doesn't warrant an announcement from the club.
I get the feeling Doyle would prefer to coach rather than play and with Zac Hadi injured with very little experience the club should make a move in the market for a more experienced back up.
This is only my opinion but relying on Walker staying clear of injury or illness could prove a bad decision although there's always the emergency route if required.
Hopefully we'll recruit in this window.

 

If you take the total posters on all Bradford City related forums I don't think they would account for much more than 1,000 posters, so as with most things the silent majority become insignificant.

 

Happy with that approach inspector but of the few we've brought in it's the perceived lack of quality that's been worrying, especially in the back line.

I fully accept that these players may well slot in and compliment the players we have brilliantly and we can certainly only judge once they've played but looking over their past careers, a betting man isn't wagering huge amounts on them being of a high enough standard.

 

The keeper shouldn't be an issue with the emergency loan rule. I'd imagine we can pick up a fairly experienced keeper at any point through the season.

 

I've renewed but I've got absolutely zero faith in the club.
