Is he any good this Max Power?

 

Just thought I'd join in the game but if it is Max Power I believe he's played against us for both Wigan and Sunderland and always put himself about, 30 years old, can play midfield or right back, free agent but what sort of wage would he want, if true that leave 2/3 at the most players to come in and they will be loans according to Alexander ?.

 

That would be a good signing.

 

Only has 1 knee. 9 games last season. Managed over 30 games once in his career.

Weve already got Walker who manages 30 games a season. Johnson comes in off some bad injuries. Pattison just spent a season out.

Add another crock to the list......dunno what some folk are on.

Halliday came in after a bad injury and has been almost an ever present.

 

That’s a good point @Park bantam but we’ll have to see if he’s an exception to the rule that we seem to have.

 

That wasnt a recurring injury. Evans clearly is. He has been injured for a total of 590 days out of the last 4 seasons due to his knee.

Decent player when fit. But doesnt that worry you?

 

Although Johnson did the start of season testing, he didn't train kast week and GA didn't sound happy about him and others missing last week.

 

I'm not surprised he wasn't happy. We had the whole right side of our defence missing on Saturday.

Worrying if Johnson is then one who isn’t back today given his injuries last season.

 

I think you are right. Max Power on his insta was saying back to pre season only yesterday and how excited he is for the new season!!!!

He is captain and just won the league/promotion so will be rubbing shoulders with Benzema and Ronaldo.

Can you see him giving that up to train in a canteen?

In all seriousness, Evans has seemingly had a good L1 career since we last saw him but the injuries have taken their toll now. He's been having issues with his knees since 2020 and it's not just one, he's had ligament tears in both and surgery on them since 2020. Ipswich fans seemingly loved him, but he had 4 knee injuries across both legs inside of 2 seasons.

If he can still go, no doubt at all he'd still be a cracking player at this level. But it's just a massive gamble on a player with his history. I thought he'd be signing for Chesterfield this summer to be honest. Cook had him at Wigan and signed him for Ipswich.

 

Cook not wanting him speaks volumes?
