I agree, without bringing Sharp in and Rupp's statement that promised investment yet to shop its face we would have lost far more than 1000 paying customers, which is already 1000 too many. The issue with not been critical and waiting to see how things pan out is by the time they do pan out it is always too late. As we saw last season, lets wait to see crap like Taylor resulted in us looking for a new manager 15 games into the season. Poor season ticket uptake and fan discontent brought some action at the club, waiting and seeing just puts you in a loop for next season. My hope is that despite the obvious flaws in his style, Alexander will get the players well drilled and hopefully we will have more win streaks than losing streaks if we stay injury free. But any success won't be due to blowing our competitors out of the water with a strong transfer window.

Thank god for that people on here are going insane !!

 

The worry is that too much is being read into the fact that we have a good enough squad already given that we had strong finish to the season where we ended being unbeaten in seven games.

The problem in doing that is it conveniently ignores the few weeks prior to that where we lost five on the bounce

 

And earlier we won 7 out of 8

 

Ok and another occasion prior to what I mentioned earlier, lost another 4 on the trot.

It's swings and roundabouts but over the course of the season that team proved too inconsistent to mount a proper promotion push.

Be foolish to expect anything different this time around without significant improvements

 

Need a CB now and a replacement for a hopefully departing Vadaine Oliver.

 

Whats up with the 3 defenders we have signed? We have 6 potential choices for CB.

 

We could perhaps manage but I think we both agree we could do with a specialist CB, maybe a young loan from the Premier League. Alexander did say 2/3 signings while Bronco was patting him on the back.

I’m wondering if it’ll be “one in, one out” now and loans for the “ins” which might not be a bad thing as long as they are top quality loans.

 

Yeah I'd have thought so. We seem like we are stocked in areas but there are areas we'd probably like an upgrade in. I think we have the budget spare for sure when you look at the outs compared to ins, I don't think that's a problem. But you can't keep signing until you think it's right when you already have a stocked squad.

Oliver & Wilson seem nailed on for the exit door for me. Maybe one or two others who will have to accept being a bench player this summer might want to leave for minutes.

 

I feel for Wilson. He has looked to have something whenever he has had the chance to play. I guess GA doesn't think he can turn him into a wing back

 

Oliver, McDonald and Wilson all mentioned in the tanda as being available for transfer. Id imagine that there’s a couple more that we’d considering letting go if we got offers for them too.

Feel a bit sorry for Wilson as others have said.
