A good honest report IMO.

 

I have messaged a Salop fan (40 + year supporter) for a few years, and 'spoke' again last night.

He was disappointed in his own sides performance, but complimented US on ours, stating we were a different side to the one he witnessed against Donny, Blackburn and obviously Blackpool.

Yes, he wasn't complementary about our pitch - but was quick to add it was the same for both teams, bearing in mind too, the recent rainfall. He was particularly impressed with Breukner, not realising it was his starting debut.
City may have got themselves a 'find' in his opinion.

All in all, he felt a draw was a fair result, as both sides tried to battle the pitch.

 

The draw against Shrewsbury will go down as defining moment in our not so illustrious history. Make a mental note of that day, the day a hard fought point against one of the best teams ever to grace Valley Parade turned this clubs fortunes around. To the players, i salute you one and all.
