Exactly that. Stats probably paint 2/3rds of a performance I'd say? At best? It gives you a good outlying picture of a player, but so many things you cant track that go a long way towards making a plyer a key part to how a team functions.

 

I don't like people picking on individuals behind the safety and comfort of a keyboard, or continually going on and on about the same individual. There are only a couple of contributors on here who seem to back the club to the hilt. If you want to bully them crack on. I make a rule of never having a go at anyone who I feel isn't capable of defending themselves.

Whether we’re in for Wyke or not I don’t think that he’ll be signing anywhere soon as it looks like he gets married today.

 

The players return to pre season training on Monday I believe,so if Wyke is getting married he'll be then on an assumed honeymoon period.
If he was to join us at a guess he'd travel with the squad to Austria.

 

I'm calling it a load of guff, personally.

He isn't a wing back, he isn't a striker, he isn't a central attacking midfielder, he isn't even particularly young (22 isn't a kid anymore), and he has one decent 6 month spell under his belt.

If I were Wright I'd head out on loan to another League Two club and try to rebuild as an out and out winger.

This is no time to be risking farting about with unfamiliar positions. A bad move here and his career is done.

 

I found Wrights performance somewhat underwhelming on his return.
I struggled sometimes to work out what position he was playing in during games.
If he leaves Plymouth I hope he goes elsewhere.

In part I agree with you but I think Alexander may see it differently, I just don't think he will bring him back as a winger/forward. In the games towards the end of the last season, when we got the ball in the middle of the pitch in the opposition half Wright was already well up the field due to his pace, I think Alexander likes that.

 

I know fook all about him but Crawley fans love him and sad to see go.

Agreed, I also think he likes Richards enough that he wants him competing for that place so he won't be too worried that Wright's not an expert there. Just because we play a certain way doesn't mean we won't ever change either, having the option to play wingers when you're chasing a game is always handy
