I bet based on games played, walker had greater clean sheet ratio

I hope Tyreik Wright signs. If he can get back to the form in his first spell he’ll be great for us. It’s a yes from me.

Why would we be interested in a player that has just had a very disappointing loan spell, and who primarily plays in a position we do not accommodate?

This would put a negative slant on our transfer business, for me, and would lead me to question the logic of some of our other signings if we're doing this kind of business.

An ambitious recruitment team would surely be looking to bring in a player as good as Halliday but that plays on the left. We seem to want to bring back a loan player that we shoehorned into that position last season and who looked less than convincing in it. I don't get it.

What's been the positive slant so far? Sarcevic?

There certainly hasn't been anything else that you could consider as good business, or at least not on paper.

Possibly but if we're to accept WW's view that Bolton and Peterborough are both being poorly run then we have to accept that our own club is currently an absolute shambles.

People can't have their cake and eat it so to speak.

It’s certainly not the kind of window we’ve been used to over the last decade. In reality the squad needed tweaking not overhauling. Are we hamstrung by players refusing to leave which is slowing the whole thing down? It’s also a very long break due to the euros, but I’d expect one or two more in before the start of preseason if my previous sentence isn’t an hindrance.

I agree. I can see why it'd get a muted response if he did sign, yet he'd missed a lot of last season with injury prior to rejoining us. If he's injury-free, gets a full decent pre season under his belt and importantly, knows exactly what his role is, I think he'd be a decent addition.

That shouldn't be an issue yet. We currently have capacity to bring in another 3 outfield players over the age of 21 before we hit the maximum squad size of 22. If the likes of McDonald, Oliver and Wilson are moved on, it would free up another 3 places on top of that.

He had a good one, but Bass' was the best in the league at 36.4% of his minutes were clean sheets. Sam Walker was 3rd with 35%.

Our guy was up and around the top end for all stats to be honest. Walker was 7th for goals against per 90, 4th best save percentage, 3rd best clean sheets percentage. Overall, there was only Addai (Crawley), Hinchcliffe (Stockport), Bass (Wimbledon) & Okonkwo (Wrexham) who statistically better than Walkers half season here.
