European Championships Day #5

Only two games today so getting a good score in this first game seems even more important than normal.

Turkey seems the obvious choice but Georgia has some good players. I'm personally too risk adverse to take a punt on them though

Yeah I gave up on Rivals this week, Div 2 is much harder than Div 3 so when it was clear I wasn't going up I just let myself get relegated back to Div 3

Anyway I'm going for



No allowed score issues with this one, unless you try and do a mix where you can only pick 4 of the top scorers not the full top 5. Even then you have like 59 points for your 5th player

I might be being a little influenced by bias though so it could all go wrong lol

 

The challenges aren't that important, it's more a bit of fun for bragging rights against friends. It's the Arena tab where it's important and where you need 3 wins to win a reward box (and get promoted where you can also get a reward box). You get 1 free Arena entry every 12 hours and then any you win in reward boxes (like you got the other day for getting the best league score) or for completing the daily tasks

 

Yeah with the new Essence addition it's certainly worth plugging away as rivals is one of the easiest ways of getting reward boxes where you can get essence. And then the cards you get from using essence helps you with the Pro game. It helps make both sides of the game much more connected than they were when Rivals was first added

 

I feel its more there are fewer 'other' games at the moment as even most of the South American Leagues are not playing due to Copa America starting this week (Its basically just MLS, K-League and J-League and most of those are Saturdays and Sundays) so you can't be more selective in which Rivals Arenas you can enter and also neither an anyone else so you are more likely to get picked against the higher end of competitors where as normally each game has a smaller pool of entrants and you are likely to get get drawn against a weaker opponent

 

It would be interesting though if they made these leagues a regular thing though. They add a more meaningful friendly competition element that the Friendly Challenges just lack

 

Been kicking people all day. Infact some of those are ones I've kicked previously. There seems to be a whole host of people who when they score well go around trying to join leagues where they might be the highest scorer that day. You can tell that by the number who join and then leave within minutes when they realise they won't win
