Barrow replaced Whitfield with Connor Mahoney from Huddersfield. Not a bad replacement.

 

I don’t get the criticism of WW he has his opinions like the rest of us but he speaks from an informed background. That doesn’t mean he is always right I don’t agree with him about Wyke but I listen with respect as should be the case with everyone

 

Whitfield has done well at Barrow but it’s not a position we need filling at all

 

From reading his posts he appears to be overly critical of other clubs with views that aren't always accurate.

Some will say I've been euphemistic there.

I’ll make my mind up when I see him play a few times, until then Platt turned down a deal , nobody from a higher division were interested in him or his demands which reinforces my comment, he’s an average L2 defender, moving to an average L2 club.

 

Agreed everyone is entitled to an opinion but it’s always very critical of clubs who are out performing us or players quite frankly we would be lucky to have.

It’s almost like City can’t do no wrong and we should be absolutely grateful for what we have. To be clear am not and am appalled at how badly we are run and have been run for the last 20 years. I get he can’t be to critical as he will be acquainted with those decision makers.

WW has a similar view to you Park and am sure you both think my view is wrong.

 

Spot on. I'd say everyone appreciates Roger's take on all things Bradford City, his comments on other clubs who are often out performing us are usually uncalled for and feel a bit like a deflection tactic to take heat off the powers that be at VP.

 

To be fair he knows many of the people he criticises so speaks from personal knowledge of what goes on

The £9k a week will be long gone @Bluebry he will have to cut the cloth to suit as the saying goes, Bradford City won't be paying that sort of money.

 

I think the substantive difference I believe, maybe McBurnie had a pro contract. Scholars don't so usually the EPPP compo applies.

Looking at the players Burton have brought in, they have relegation fodder written all over them! Some head scratchers for sure for a L1 outfit...

... mind you, everyone said that about Crawley before a ball was kicked this season.

 

With the article mentioning McBurnie I was hoping similar deals had been done with regards the lads who have left, I would think with regards McBurnie he would have had a contract with the club, but I bow to your superior knowledge with regards these things.

 

You're 100% right, we're not the worst run club but surely the biggest underachievers in the country and we have very little to be grateful for. I can still acknowledge it when we do things well, (I think we have plenty of fans that can't do that) but they've still brought most of the criticism and scepticism on themselves

 

We are no where near the biggest underachievers. For money spent, Everton, Newcastle, Sunderland, Huddersfield. Leeds & many more all rank way above us.
