Listened to a Notts County fan who podcasts for lower leagues. He said he thinks Baldwin will be better in GAs setup than the County one as he isn't comfy with the ball to feet and time to play. Going long is his best asset and isn't really someone who wants to play high with time to get it moving.

Could well be a horses for courses thing? How many have we had that are guff here then move on and do well or vice versa? At this level there seems to be a lot of players who do well in one tactic or for one boss these days.

 

And while I'm at it, I can't see all this who-ha with Charlie Wyke, (we're after him as well....supposedly). He rarely made a start for Wigan last season, eventually going out on loan to Rotherham where again he hardly featured. I saw him twice against United last season (both times coming off the bench) and he certainly didn't pull up any trees. For the money he will undoubtable command (I believe he was allegedly on around £9,000 a week) I think both City and us can do a lot better.

I saw a few on Twitter and a Notts County page that they were supposedly signing Terell Thomas, deal agreed and was supposed to sign late last week until Carlisle came in and they believe offered him a L1 level contract to sign up there. Sounds like they wanted him to be the last piece of their jigsaw in the brand new defensive line.

Good defender from memory, surprised he didn't get another L1 club to be honest.

 

Yes we've signed him, should be decent at this level, however Charlton fans seem to think that he didn't pull up any trees at the Valley....time will tell.

 

You can't beat a good clearout.

 

There will be the usual suspects player spotting down at the "school".

 

Especially a "chilli inspired" clearout

 

Barrow have just announced Whitfield has not accepted a contract extension. I wonder if he's coming home? I know the t&a poured cold water over it a month ago, but they don't always get it right.

On paper we haven't improved on him but the game is played on grass not paper so let's see how it works out.
