Why does ‘U.K. City of Culture’ need to be added to the kit?

The kit is shit and there’s no new player.
Haha they’ve taken the piss out of all of us by hyping it up so much.
This club never fails to disappoint.

Terrible shirt. Can't see what's retro about it? Other than a few of the models. It's not even really an homage to the 85 kit.

The worst bit is that it's not even central to the badge. Just looks like they've added it on as an after thought.

It's last seasons away kit with some claret and amber tyre marks on it.

Is it? Could of fooled me as it still barely looks like it! It vaguely resembles it..... in the same way my dogs garden parcels often look kind of like the last.

 

Thing is, if you are going to hype it up and make such a big thing of it being 'retro' the shirt really needs to be an exact replica of a past shirt, not just a nod towards it.
