Platt was a slightly above average defender for this level, can we do better, yes.
Could we do worse, most definately and often have.

 

I'm sure we'll bring in one or two quality defenders with the money Rupp has promised.

 

While he may be missed, I think there’s better out there, I have mentioned before that some of his distribution is questionable. Clearly he received a better offer so who can blame him?

I've no axe to grind with the lad but I'd take his reasons for leaving being more down to the money County are offering rather than his comments about the next two years, we finished 5 places above County after they had looked certainties for a top 7 finish at least, he missed out under Hughes after a top 7 finish and we almost made top 7 again last season even though we never knew which Bradford City would turn up, sorry Matt its all about the money and for that I don't blame you for leaving but don't take us for fools.

 

I think it's a bit more than that. There's definitely some digs at city and the lack of ambition from the top down in there.

Two sides to every story.
I believe Rupp is putting money into the club but pitch renovations and a few new seats here and there plus I believe an advanced upgrade on stadium WiFi aren't really what supporters want to hear about are they but they didn't come free.

 

He's having a dig at our lack of ambition, starting from the top with the owner. It's exactly what some of us have been saying but when it's a player who will have even more insight than we will then suddenly it's crap?

I do because I see it week and week out since he’s Rupp been here is decline after decline after decline. Everything is neglected, so yes I agree Notts county are a better prospect.
