Everyone played well against us. Not worried about his age. About 10 years ago, we signed an older guy with a similar pedigree who led us to Wembley twice in one season.

 

A midfield of Sarcevic, Smallwood, Pattison an Gillead seems good to me. With Walker as another potential option.

Onto the defence now. That should be the priority

 

Didn’t think this was an area we’d strengthen, but glad we have.

Goal-scoring/creative midfielders are hard to find at this level; to have 4 on our books is an embarrassment of riches.

 

If anyone can f*ck that up, we can.

With the midfielders at our disposal I'm not sure either Smallwood or Gillead will be starters. No bad thing!

 

Welcome on board . Decent signing , so where’s he going to play is the fundamental question ? Walker, Patterson and Sarcevic all for the same position or has GA got something else up his sleeve?

 

I do some financial work at Stockport and after speaking to the staff ,the general consensus is that he will be a massive loss to them, so that says a lot about him.
Seems like a good start to the transfer window......wonder who is next

Interesting that he has chosen us after recent negotiations with Stockport.

Have we offered a better contract than they did, to to a player who everyone at Stockport really rates.

Initial 2 year deal-does he think we can go higher than Stockport in the short/medium term?

Their local Jurno said both he and Madden were only offered 1 year deals by Stockport , hence why both have moved on for longer contracts elsewhere

 

I’d have quality over quantity 8 days a week Ade. A step in the right direction and a great start to recruitment. Clearly someone else due in the next few hours after the Parker teaser this morning?

 

I can see Bobby the left side of a front three? Quite a conundrum?

 

Gilly will probably be a sub going forward Bantam as he can cover several roles?

 

I would think so, but also wouldn't be surprised to see him move on if he feels his chances are going to be limited and the right opportunity presents itself.
