    Not necessarily. He's delegated playing decisions that to a Head of Football.

    When you delegate, you allow people to work. You don't hover around them getting in the way.

    He’s the boss, should he just sit in another room while the meetings going on? Then say to the office staff “It’s going on a long time, I wonder what’s happening”. It’s his responsibility in the end and I don’t see what people don’t get about that. He’s in charge of the finance and will have to approve decisions made by the football staff so it’s vital he’s there while discussions are going on.

    I mean ultimately it's obviously up to Ryan, like any boss.

    If he insists on being there to listen and maybe learn, fair enough, and if he can provide some clarity on budget specifics, no issues.

    But he's employed someone to run the football-side of the business now, and he needs to be allowed to do so, otherwise we're wasting a wage. David Sharpe isn't a consultant, he's the Head of Football and needs to be given the freedom to be the Head of Football.

    We might still be in a transitional period, who knows, Sharpe might want Sparks there while the handover takes place. Just so long as Sparks isn't hovering around Sharpe getting in the way, given we know he isn't very good at the football side of things.

    You’ve only told half of Jamie Raynor post. He said Rupp has put back his interview because he has some very important meetings this summer. Hopefully he’s negotiating with Gibb regarding the ground.

    I also hoped the reason might be other interested parties, he could have done the interview last weekend when he was in attendance for the Newport game.

    Interesting comment from Ryan in today's T&A
    “We’re looking at the bigger picture in terms of our facilities and infrastructure. We’re starting to look at it in detail and we need to because the clock is ticking with elements of it.
    Perhaps all this talk of training facilities not been up to scratch could be part of the so called bigger picture.
    Or perhaps the Valley Parade pitch is undergoing more than it's usual programme of work.
