No positives to this season! NONE!

Anyone, that thinks otherwise needs to have a serious think to their standards and expectations of the club.

Why? Because we won some games with no pressure on.

Same owner who has backtracked on radio interview this month, club now saying maybe summer at some point. Actions speak louder than words. His words were to shut protests up and salvage season ticket sales, job done gone awol again

It means owner with complete lack of interest.

    Other than the financials.

Owner has no heart for football.

    Let alone Bradford City.

    Why do you ask?

Only positive is we have a manager who has proven experience in this division who converted a squad who was averaging 1.25 ppg to one who averaged 1.64 ppg in the 30 games he took charge of.
That would have been 75 points over a season and well inside the top 7.
If he can maintain that standard whilst adding 4 or 5 real quality players and shedding the dross that Hughes/Gent recruited/retained last year, we have a great chance next season.

Although there wasn't a massive amount of business done in January I would say it was a successful window and if we can have a similar summer in terms of refreshing the squad then we should do well.
Kavanagh looks a great find, when people talk about Pointon being young it gets overlooked that Kavanagh is only 4 months older. With 5 goals and 2 assists in 15 games, I don't you could ask much more and credit to the club for taking the risk to take him permanently rather than the safe option of a loan.
    S. Walker has done really well and an upgrade than what Lewis was this season, without hindsight we were right not to let him go in the summer but his form this season was a worry and the numbers showed a drop so it was the right time to cash in on him.
Wright was the worst of the 3 but I suspect we'll try to sign him in the summer, he never got going at the start and the lack of match time showed. When he's come back from the injury I think he's improved at LWB and a good pre-season could bring him on more but he also gives us the option to play with a winger if needed.

For next season we've got to make sure the strength in depth is there, the poor run after Christmas until early Feb was because we missed Walker and we had nobody to replace him with Pattison out and Pointon possibly not ready yet so we changed formation which never worked. The March madness was when we were down to the bare bones in the CB position so Ridehalgh has to fill in.

No, nothing to do with the recent results. For me there are shoots, albeit small, that the club might be finally waking up to reality of what is actually needed to make progress on and off the pitch.

The biggest positive has to be that Sharpe has joined the club. We know off the field we have been lacking and Sparks has needed help. We finally have it. While its been too early to expect his influence to be evident, hopefully we’ll see better decision making on the football side and the benefits from that next season.

super Sammy Walker and Kavanagh look very good signings.

I cannot fathom how Bobby was frozen out for so long after running the show for Big Kev, especially in that Wrexham game.

Still, glad the season is all over.

ive renewed. I hope Halliday and Pointon sign new deals. I hope Walker is kept on too but not holding my breath.

if we tighten up at the back we have to be aiming for top three next season.

Why do they have to rethink their standards? Maybe they just share a different prospective to you as to how they chose to dissect an outcome, in order to gain a more rounded evaluation.

The season was a failure. No other way to view it. I’ll have my opinion and say there are some positives that have come from it and respect yours that says there are none.

    Positives?
    - the signings of Kavanagh and S. Walker
    - the emergence of Pointon
    - Halliday
    - 8 goals from J. Walker suggesting 10+ is a reasonable expectation for a fit JW
    - scoring a somewhat surprising (to me) amount of late goals to gain points
    - a sense that perhaps ownership has {woken up / been woken up} to the fact we have problems that need addressing in terms of club structure / footballing knowledge within the club / attendance / communications
    - the good run to close the season

Overall it was a very disappointing, frustrating, exasperating season, but there are still some good elements.

For me the biggest positive is the Supporters. We have had a poor season, many have stayed away.

Today they turned out in force. The level of noise fluctuated today but was generally loud.

The take up of Season Tickets, despite the several seasons we have been in League Two, the stuttering performances and the significant price increase, is very impressive.

    Gold star for the Supporters.
