Bergkamp, Koeman, Kuyt leading the group.
Henrik Larsson manager of the team.
They'll buy a league 1 team, maybe Reading??

 

Sorry I am laughing, it sounds like a boys night out conversation where too much drink has been consumed.

Only speculation but, could this be the reason that we have not heard anything regarding season tickets ?

 

I'd think Reading would come with a big asking price, then again if Rupp does want £10 mill for us that is also a big asking price for aq club with few assets.

 

Pretty sure it is all pie in the sky, and I think there are much better clubs to invest in, but if by some miracle they did choose us then i'm not sure i'd want the publicity that comes with such high profile owners

Still a bit early isn't it to be having season ticket news? Even last season when the automatic spots were still on, we didn't get news until early March. Reckon we are still a few weeks away.

 

They’d be a disaster for City, keep them well away. We’d be stuck with a coach in Larsson who would have no knowledge of league 2 football and has not been a success as a coach anywhere, at the same time getting rid of Alexander who knows the league inside out. I know it's populism to have a high profile owner and coach but these would not be the answer.

 

The quotes from this article are a little confusing. At the start is suggests they have a club and he is "not allowed to say which club" then later on says "We do take the time to select the club. We are now looking in the Manchester and Birmingham area. It is being taken very seriously now." which suggests they don't have a club and it would also rule us out.

To me this sounds a bit like a vanity project and as some can't get the job they want on merit they will buy the job. Larsson as head coach sounds very dodgy as he's had 3 manager jobs so far and done nothing in them so what makes them think he'll be a success in League 1 or 2. Also part of the group is an agent which would always raise concerns he brings in his own players or helps out friends.

With this going back to 2019 I have to question why it's taken them this long to get a club.

Funny you should name the “ Manchester Area” . I was reading yesterday the Busby Babes are now looking for new and additional investors in Salford. It looks like they are fed up of chucking money at a bottomless pit , for zero return. Apparantly their most recent claim to fame and selling is increasing attendances to 2,400. Really?
