From Wyke to Kavannagh … honestly he’s a boro lad tick, he’s played for Harrogate tick, he’s a low scoring forward tick, he’s CHEAP tick, we scouted him for months tick.

This club never ever learns - fans were expecting better as we’ve sold Lewis and moved on Oliver. The pressure is on this lad from day dot and it’s unfair.

I said the exact same on Tulloch and Afoka and was proved correct. This will be the same mark my words.

 

I will wait until the end of the transfer window but if we just sign a forward then the club have missed where we badly need recruitment.

 

If the lad is coming in, he will be sat on the bench, Cook will start, and he can not produce less than Oliver , as his output was zero.
People need to stop knocking players before they have even kicked a ball in anger for this club.
Other than the BSM trophy this season is done , bar a miracle up turn in form.
Keep the powder dry and you never know he might actually thrive in his new surroundings

 

Don't forget, we will have beaten off strong interest from other clubs, city never name any of them.

 

We have already brought in Young and Wright as forward options.

Its other areas that are my concern. Hopefully they have 1 or 2 more lined up. Wont hold my breath though!

 

To be fair andy, despite the continually disappointing recruitment, the vast majority of fans do give new players a go and try to get behind them.....if they are then not up to it its understandable some dejection then seeps out.

Biggest joke is club ((and Parkers) never ending pap about 'on our radar for some time' and 'beat off higher division competition ' - do they not realise how embarrassing these soundbites are?! Be ok if they were actually digging up a few gems

If a striker came in, he was going to be 3rd choice at best. This lad isnt going to come in ahead of Cook or Young in the starting 11, competing with Smith for a bench spot. For me, LWB and a leggy midfielder were far more important areas to fill. I'd have preferred some goalkeeper competition over a 4th choice striker.

 

So Kavanagh is expected in, that's 4 through the door in Walker, Young, Wright & Kavanagh with 4 out in Lewis, Osadebe, Oliver & Afoka. Surely he wants a few more out? Seems like we still have a very bloated squad.

 

They must only use that line about beating off stiff competition for the innuendo, surely?
