Well obviously a bit early to sack the man, and we're only in the first half of this game anyway.

I'm not convinced by him, though, he was a poor appointment on paper coming off a really poor spell at MK Dons and he didn't suit what we were doing under Hughes... nothing about it really made any sense apart from "experienced manager", and the fact he talks well which is probably priority number 1 for Sparks, another talker.

 

Now the commentators saying how high up the divisions Smallwood has played, good career, but has been totally bypassed in midfield today.

How can they see this after 30 mins, but GA can’t?

Smallwood is a mystery.

He was Hull City's captain and they wanted to keep him, but would only offer him a year. He led them to promotion from League One to the Championship, and helped keep them there.

He should be levels above, but he simply... simply... isn't.
