Technically gifted isn’t a name I’d put to any of our squad especially Chapman . Other than Walker they have all found their level. ( Smallwood and McD were in their pomp) .

 

I’ve watched Chapman over a number of years and he’s always been the same. Flashes of brilliance, no end product and low on confidence. I don’t think at his age and the opportunity he’s been given, that we’ll see the obvious potential that he has. I see him falling into non league or giving up all together.

Chances created are always a bit of a dodgy stat, all it means is that assists plus key passes (the times where he is the last person to pass who has a shot). Callum Cook was always amongst the highest for key passes but I don't think anyone thought he was one of the best attackers in the division. Assists can be a bit misleading as well, 1 of Pointon's assists will be against MK Dons where it was more of a tackle than a pass to set up Gilliead. With Key Passes a dribble taking on 3 players and setting up a player for an open goal but misses is counted the same as passing to a player 40 yards out and that player shoots from 30 yards.
