Very ambitious! I can’t see GA dropping Smallwood, playing McDonald from the start or picking Pointon in his first eleven. Add to the fact that Ryan is not letting Young play (especially against Swindon) and I think unfortunately your team, despite looking good, will be way off the mark. Sadly, I don’t think we’ll see any changes from Tuesday, because we “didn’t lose”.

If Ash Taylor starts again i’m not bothering to tune in.

how far is Richards off being fit. Could do with dropping Ridehalgh and Odour too.

I want as close as possible to the team that played in our winning run, but with Walker in for Lewis, obv.

5-3-2: Walker, Richards (Ridehalgh), Kelly, Platt, JT (Stubbs), Halliday, Smallwood, Gillead, Pointon where Walker was, Cook, Wright

Id be shocked too! As stated, this is my team, I don't think this is what GA will select. I think Smallwood is his regular starter, but could probably do with a bit more rotation. Young, I think we've spoken about enough.

The clamour was based on the same premise as always. He's not in the team and the team aren't performing well. Pattison is the next up. Rinse and repeat for whoever makes way for him.

Is it just me or has there been a distinct lack of moaning about refs this season in general. Dare I say I think the standard has been decent.

No it's worse. The lack of moaning is due to the reduced number of fans watching games AND just can't be ar*ed complaining anymore.

No definitely not. I personally think it’s been worse this season, especially at home games. The standard is atrocious. The Lino on the midland road side against Salford the other night couldn’t keep up and missed at least 2 occasions where Salford were offside and kept the flag down cos he was 10 yards behind

The added time of 2 minutes was also laughable.

Don't get me wrong, I wanted it done with by half time but 3 separate sub breaks coupled with a fair amount of play acting by Salford and all he added in was 2 minutes?

Earlier in the season that would be 7, no danger.

Our away record at Swindon is woeful. In 22 visits we have 4 wins, 4 draws and 14 defeats.

Our only clean sheet victory at the County Ground was a 1-0 win in 1977, when Peter Downsborough kept Swindon at bay with a string of top class saves. It was to be our only away win that season.

The stats show he is strong defensively. There's more to football than goals and assists. His shot which hit the post and fell to Halliday on Tuesday isn't recorded as an assist, there will be other goals where he has contributed to a goal but because he didn't get the last pass to the scorer he doesn't get any statistical credit.
You can also use stats to show whatever you want. Gilliead has a shot conversation rate of 22.2% whereas Cook only has 17.74. Gilliead has a shot accuracy of 77.78% but Cook's is only 38.71% so does that mean Gilliead is a better shooter than Cook?

But he might go down on the team coach and sit with his old biddies.

Had another setback. Be at least another month before we see him in competitive action again. He’s not even back training on grass yet
