Well we have 4 or 5 days to find out what Jake Young is really worth. If he's worth what the club thinks someone will make an offer worthy of that price tag. But unless someone is keeping their powder dry it seems nobody else rates him enough to pay it. Which is surprising as goal scorers usually command a premium.

I really do think it's the "on loan" thing even more so than the "just six months of form" thing.

You'd have thought MK Dons would be fielding offers for Kemp, too, but I've heard nothing and they played him straight away, so can't imagine there was anything serious on the table.

What Kemp did for Swindon is even more impressive than what Young did, especially since he isn't a striker.

    B.A.N.G on the money.

Honestly , I said yesterday , imho Young has done himself no favours. Word will have got around most managers of his “ bust up” with his manager, followed up by the fact Wild wouldn’t touch him after his “ trial” ? A distinct possibility of goals OR a risk too far for some clubs maybe? Strange in some sense, not in others Jon?

Well Carlisle have now sign Diamond from Sunderland who hasn’t trained properly during his assault trial so is going to be lacking match fitness but maybe they have moved on from Young. They are also having their own player issues with someone refusing to sign a new deal so they can leave for free in the summer

could be, didn't exactly do a lot at Lincoln pre trial and now he hasn't trained properly for a while but he is out of contract at end of season so could be worth a punt

When you think about it logically if the figure being banded about is just £200k then the club may as well go all out to keep him until the end of the season at which point we'll agree to not stand in his way to move on, that way we'd get a player with ability trying his all for a big reward, if it doesn't work out as planned then he will still fetch £50-£75k and when you consider the potential cash we're losing while down here then a £150k gamble with something that was worth nothing 6 months ago is a no brainer.

On Darragh Macathony’s latest pod, he makes a good point about people bidding for his players, they either meet the valuation or he tells em to f**k off, he holds all the cards. I hope sparks was taking notes.

Yes but does he have a 500k deficit to bridge and what if he didn’t want to put more of his own money in?
He’d sell his players that’s what. He should keep his big nose out of our business. The guy is a cretin

The fella he runs the podcast with is a City fan so half of the content is about Peterborough half is about City. And yes, he would sell his players, and he is doing, that’s their model, and it’s very successful. I know people don’t like him but if Rupp gave half as much of a toss as Macathony we would be in a much different place.

Don’t believe all the hype you read about DMc. He’s a property salesman by trade!
Ask his Canadian partners and ground owners what they think?

I always said the new stadium plan was built on sand , paid for by the taxpayer. He got rumbled imho.

I've no idea Kevin, I just don't imagine he doesn't take some kind of financial compensation for the time he'll feel he puts in.

Had a chat with Youngs relative last night. No massive revelations to be fair, just a few tidbits. Said they haven't spoken to him this week, but he hasn't text the family to let them know a move is on.

They said Jake was more than happy to play for City again now Hughes is gone, the injury is pretty much sorted now, just a little soreness still was the last they knew but it was pretty bad when he came back from Swindon. They ran him into the ground in his final games, because Swindon had little options.

City seem happy to wait until Feb to let a deal manifest was the last they knew, Jake is happy either way but if he moves he wants to make sure he is going to play. Sounded like GA has told Jake he plans on making him an important part of the team. They said the loan did him wonders, gave him confidence back and is really wanting to kick on with his career.

Only move he talked to them about was Carlisle after speaking to Lewis. No idea how true, but apparently Carlisle are offering very good money, they said that Lewis had his wage nearly doubled. Think the T&A printed that Lewis had a significant wage rise after he moved.

Alexanders take on the situation in which it basically says nothing although on reading it you have to feel for the guy, unlike us fans he knows very little with regards our club or our resent history.
