Just tell us what the priority is: Young playing for City, or Young being available for transfer.

The figures doing the rounds are that the club want £500,000, which is being labelled as 'ridiculous'.

No idea if that's true or not.

I can see why Carlisle might think half a million for Young is ridiculous when that's what they paid for a much more proven forward in Armstrong (who has hit double figures in 3 consecutive seasons).

If that's the case, then my earlier estimate that clubs would value him around £300,000 probably isn't far from the truth.

However, if it's wrong, and Sparks is (say) asking for a million, then it's possible Carlisle were prepared to match the fee for Armstrong (£500,000) but find the idea he might be worth double laughable.

Take your pick of those or any other narratives.

Clearly they haven’t buckled, I think we can all agree . I hope it is with Young btw . I’d much prefer the goalscorer in him than £sd unless it’s a really stupid offer. I don’t think it will materialise , so we will see the bad ankle injury clear up in short order and hopefully see what we have missed the last six months?

Every player who plays for a professional team is available for transfer, no matter what spin a club puts on it for fan intake……, if the price is right!

It just puts into perspective , and you are probably right btw , some of the absolutely FM valuations repeated on here are stupid, naive or a combination of the two. Some actually fall for it, which is even dafter!

Even if the fee ( if Young is sold) is quoted as undisclosed,do the club have to officially release the actual amount they’ve received in annual accounts?

Individually,as opposed to an overall transfer amount.
