Something I've noticed regarding Jake Young.
To my knowledge not one single interview or video related to his return.
Has he been gagged by the club?
Or is it as we suspect he doesn't want to be at Bradford and the usual phrases ,"buzzing to be back" and "Can't wait to get started" not apply in his case.
    Just an observation that's all.

    You have done it now

Note this was produced and posted on Y/T by STFC after both players had left the club, ie two weeks ago. It popped up on my feed, no idea why but be warned . Some decent goals but the video is something else. You wanted one!

The luvvie dovie, production is pretty much ………?

I’ll leave it to others opinion, but hey!

Spending now is the key, spending after you get £500k for Young might get that bit harder. Just worrying if every L1-NL club we try negotiate with knows we've just had £700K into the budget after selling Lewis & Young, suddenly a £50K player has a doubled asking price. Hopefully Gent has done his homework and we aren't overpaying for crap in the end.

Spend some of the money on the pitch then. What's the point of signing good players ,and then expecting them to play on a cabbage patch.

Mmm,it's probably already been used on a premier league pitch, then sold to us on the cheap.

I don't think they have quite thrown the towel in yet,but I will be very surprised if City pay any money for a player in this window.

Might be a sign that Derby are out of the race for Young. They are in talks with Sheff Weds to bring in Michael Smith, expected to be a loan.

Different sort of strikers, but Derby don't look to have a tonne of squad space to bring multiple in without some leaving.

    He wants to leave.

He'll be no where near tomorrows squad, his other boot lace has come undone.

My original thoughts on Young were that I wanted him to come back and give it another go for us, but the silence from Young himself tells you all we need to know and that is he clearly wants out, otherwise I'm sure we'd have seen a T&A piece from him saying he's up for giving his all for us blah blah etc...But no nothing, and to be perfectly honest I don't blame him tbf when he has the chance to play in a higher league on more money no doubt, so don't have a problem with that good luck to him. The annoying issue for me is that us fans will see no benefit from him leaving whatsoever because we won't spend anything this January with this season already looking in bad shape combined with the poor value for money teams normally get in this short window with the limited pool of decent players available, so in an ideal world the right thing to do would be save any funds for the summer rebuild, but if the sale of Lewis and Young brings in say £500k and we manage to offload another couple of players for the remaining 20 weeks of the season adding say another £40k and then throw in the £110k the pizza cup has raised so far that's £650k, and if our budget for next season would be say £3.5m for example then there is no way I can see it being bumped up to £4.1m or whatever from any funds raised, we will just be told the budget which we would have had anyway would of been lower if it hadn't been for the transfers, if you get what I mean.

Why does he want out? Genuine question. I thought his beef was with Hughes. Is it another case of what goes on (or rather, what doesn’t go on) behind the scenes that makes this club so unattractive?

It’s another case of Twitter giving everyone conspiracy ideas perhaps ?

Is it a conspiracy though? I think there's plenty of truth in the thought process that the club brought him back just to sell him to the highest bidder and I'll also think they discussed that with Jake long before his January return.

If he's still at the club and amazingly is declared fit for the first game in February then it absolutely stinks imo and once again we've been lied to by the club.

I don't believe it'll get that far though, he'll be sold well before the deadline.

I’d say there is a number of things, he’s probably looking at a chunk more money and playing in a higher division, we are likely to finish mid table which won’t do much for his career, and for me, if an employer turfed me out and said I wasn’t wanted I wouldn’t want to return.

I say that wholly on the grounds that NOBODY on here knows, so many just make it up , couched in to terms of “speculation” or “ opinion”, some to beat up the club, owners, CeO with ? One line of which will end up being true for sure. One made up story was the player and club were colluding and therefore conspiring together to defraud the Government with false injury/ sickness claims. Even my “ opinion” that he was no longer injured holds more weight, probably more so because he still played 4/5 ( poor) consecutive games thereafter whilst not training and still suffering ankle problems ! . Odd why he then was “ injured “ immediately walking back into BD8, sufficient for him being unable to train, let alone play. We know that’s either the club by wanting to sell an asset , maybe through the medical people or the player himself making the decision.
One way another I have absolutely nothing other than support for his return to the club on several grounds.

He’s a BCAFC contracted player thus eligible for sale at the right price or playing, my personal choice of the two, for his contracted club.

To protect his career from his then “owning” manager at Swindon. Flynn openly admitting he selecting Young to play without training nor sufficient fitness was completely unprofessional. ( Even Young was naive in doing so? )

Which ever way we don’t know Dave, hence the penchant for made up stories in the absence of an information blackout. The player, the club are between a rock and a hard place whatever they do.

Another reason that transfer fees are “ undisclosed” . It used to be to confuse the taxman, then it became a tool for “ winding up” supporters , now and appropriately it’s to give nothing away in potential fund availability in the transfer market!
