We can't afford players from ambitious clubs like Carlisle.

I imagine we're scouting Sutton United as we speak though hoping one or two are out of contract in the Summer!

 

So he's bought a player, paid a fee for him (undisclosed) and then told the world that what we think he's paid (circa £200,000) is excessive. Nice boost for Lewis that.

We’ve had the managers, we recruited completely randomly. Barrow are on an upward trajectory and are closer to promotion than we are, no matter where they train. We’re nearly 6 years in this league and no further forward.

For me exactly the type of player we need and id be moving heaven and hell to make it happen. We are missing someone to provide for strikers we just don’t have that quality.

I’d sacrifice both Lewis and Young for him or a similar quality play maker. I look at some of our passing and crossing and get so frustrated. Everyone talks about the quality in this squad? Where, it needs addressing. We need good footballers not athletes not brutes - someone who is comfortable in possession and can find a pass.

JK Gordon (who was at Carlisle) has signed on loan for Wimbledon. Good signing for them if he shows the same form as he did for Carlisle. Could help them get into the play-offs.

Too right Gary. Imagine giving £4.30 for a pint of Landlord in the TFC and getting no change from your fiver (though the way the dollar exchange rate is going, that wouldn't be too much hassle for you for such a quality piece of product) !!

Good move for all. Oliver can refresh, the best run of his career was under Evans at Gillingham. If he suddenly gets 10+ goals for them in L1, we might see if they want him for a few quid in the summer. He should have gone to Swindon and scored 25 goals so we can all have another thread come June.

 

It's a top move for them. Means they can attract the same players as most other northern league 2 teams.

I imagine training in barrow would have slimmed the catchment down.

 

I think that was the intention but obviously something changed.
