We don't know the situation with regards the injury he was more than happy to play through whilst at Swindon, then he returns and aggravated it and it becomes so serious he couldn't make the bench, with it now being Thursday and we've heard nothing with regards it improving or not you can only believe he once again won't declare himself fit.
I can see why he wouldn't want to come back under the circumstances he left, but he knew it was a loan until January and the ratio he was scoring the option of Swindon buying him and staying at a club he loved so much were miniscule.
He may have an injury that's keeping him out we have to take his word, but he must dislike the club and its fans if he doesn't fancy returning and showing us just how wrong the club were for loaning him out.
The powers that be had enough faith in the him to give him a 3 year deal, he may have had a fall out with Hughes but he's gone, this would be a new start, the situation is disappointing for us fans who were excited about his return and hopefully continuing his goal scoring in front of Bradford City fans.

 

Also Bronco he knows that his stock is a lot higher at the moment and if he gets a move he would be on a lot more money than the pennies we will be paying him spread over 4 years

If he came back and was half the success he was at Swindon his stock would go up, He knew what he was signing when he signed that 3 years contract with a 12 month option.
I'd think he could then go back and justify a pay rise, if not he then tells the club he's returned done what was asked of a him now he wants rewarding, if not IMO he'd have every right to say he believes he could get better terms at another club and he wants to leave.
Graham Alexander comes across as a very honest guy who I'm sure if asked would say he does not want anyone at the club who doesn't want to play for Bradford City and there would be little the club could do except put him open to offers IMO.

 

And very clear when asked if Jake was fit would he play him and after thinking about what had been asked his reply was "if he was good enough to get into our team at that precise moment" the leagues second highest scorer and he's commenting on if he's good enough to do what strikers are paid to do, score bloody goals.
I'll bet when possible buyers come knocking the club use that he's the second highest goal scorer in league two to inflate the transfer and rightly so too.

Hearing what he says to Jamies follow up question is also a little confusing as when asked if Jake plays he then won't be allowed to play for any other football club, listen to that reply far from convincing Graham, Youngs on his way Alexander shouldn't be the one being questioned that should be our CEO.

 

Surely Carlisle must have a good chance of signing Young now that his best mate has just signed for them?

 

I think he'd already decided his future is elsewhere. I don't think the club had much choice on the matter to be honest . We've seen it before what happens with an unhappy player, unfortunately the club is now between a rock and hard place. Imo best get whatever we can for him

 

After listening to the end Jamie quotes if Jake were to play for us that would rule him out of playing for anyone else, Alexander then changes his tone, I work for people above me, Graham Alexander shouldn't be the one answering those sort of questions it should be our CEO shocking to put the manager in that position.
I agree Jake on his way mate I'd put my mortgage on it if I had one .

Running on a treadmill today hardly constitutes severe pain or perhaps Jake possess a high pain threshold.
From a personal perspective we've managed without is services thus far why fall over backwards to accommodate him with promotion to the first team a given.

 

That didn't seem to be the case at Swindon, Flynn saying how are you today Jake, O/K boss my injury isn't any worse that before I'll be fine boss right lad your penciled in along with Kempy.?.

Or lets take Jimmy Hanson who most knew was never 100% fit yet pulled the Claret & Amber on with pride possibly not releasing in later life it would catch up with him health wise, and the lad still doesn't regret it, Parky commenting Hanson first name on the team sheet even at 70% fit, so no there are situations where the manager has to take the risk players will still deliver even if not 100% fit. piece from the article below : "in 2014, Hanson got diagnosed with arthritis.
