This is it. But for me it is not as much to do with Jake Young per se as it is with sending a message of positive intent over this window and the ability to generate enough income in ST sales to make us competitive next season. At the moment I am not very optimistic.

To be honest the way he's been playing, it might be a good move for him.
Don't know whether he's been 'found out', 'wants away' or simply 'can't be arsed', whatever it is all this talk of him being a million pound player in the summer was and is 'pie in the sky' to be honest we would be lucky to get a few bob for him at the moment.

Michael Flynn admitted the Wiltshire club would love to have signed him permanently after a prolific 16-goal loan spell. But they cannot afford the figure the Bantams would want for a striker who is under contract to the end of next season – with a further year’s option in the club’s favour after that.

“There is no chance of getting Jake Young in terms of his transfer fee,” Flynn told our sister paper, the Swindon Advertiser.

“I would say that if Jake Young goes then it is going to be to a high-end League One or Championship club because of the money involved.”

Seems like we've slapped a high figure on Young and he wont be off to the Port Vales of the world.

 

Apparently Lewis mentioned early season that both him and Young were good mates off the pitch and went out with their partners together. If both have been approached by Carlisle then it may make the move easier if both signed!

 

He ain't that good. Looked half decent in league 2 but looked quite ponderous on the move. The pace as you go up the divisions is frightening.
