They don't need to say anymore than what I posted, Jake Young has had an exceptional half season which has got other clubs interested if the right offer comes we may consider it, nothing wrong with that sort of comment Jake knows where he stands and so do the fans, and fans should be kept informed IMO.

Well it looks like their new owners are not short of backing the manager Luke Armstrong already in place I believe.

The supporters contributed to Young being here in the first place. The least we deserve is our CEO being honest about his future. Apparently we've turned down an offer for him already according to Simon Parker. Do we want to keep him or sell? Or do the fans not matter?

Maybe the club are keeping quiet as advertising the fact that we are happy to let him go could reduce the price that people will offer. Not sure what is gained but letting fans know the decisions and on going discussions going on at the club that still haven't finished panning out.

If young goes, they’d better sign a striker with pedigree. It’s only fair to the fans. We are goal shy and cannot flog Cook to death whilst watching Smith or Oliver jog around cluelessly

Been fobbed off will only make season ticket sales suffer and rightly so

Really not fussed what happens with Young, he had some bright spots but lacked work rate when he did appear (Colchester away perfect example).
His attitude and lack of respect for City since, plus my doubts about his long term ability makes me ambivalent about the outcome.
I’m more bothered about Halliday and Pointon (yes, I know he’s a City fan) and their contracts approaching end dates when Sparks seems to let them run down before taking action

we don’t have a striker we pedigree at the moment?

would you be happy if we signed a player who had done well this season but had average one goal in seven games for previous 3 years?

    Cook doesn't have pedigree??

I'd be happy if we reinvested any money from the sale of JY on a striker proven in the lower leagues, end of. It really is that simple

This is the first season he has been a regular starter, a lot of his career so far has been as a sub. It makes a difference. He has a career total to date of 101 league appearances and 27 goals, but has only played a total of 4374 minutes. That's the equivalent of around 48 full games. His stats are more impressive than he is given credit for.

Really? They already have 6 or 7 strikers on the books and just signed Armstrong with the fee rumoured to be somewhere between £350K-£400K after just the 1 goal for Harrogate this season. A few are loanees who might get cancelled, but seems like they have a shed load of strikers already on the books.

For what it's worth, your post was screenshotted and bobbed online by a Carlisle fan and they don't seem too convinced.

Yes I was at that Colchester game…….Wasnt he subbed off at half time or soon after ? He sauntered up and down the flank like it was a Sunday afternoon ball game with the kids. I’m sure it was that game where his wheels started to fall off with MH?

I think it was early in the season wasn’t it? But that’s exactly how I remember it, shooting instead of passing to better placed team mates, not tracking back, putting in tackles etc….

I don't see they need to make any comment on it just now.

GA was asked last night and he said he's happy to talk about it in his Thursday presser but wanted to focus on last nights' win at the time which I thought was fair enough
