Selling Young is just another example of where we are with the current owner and one of the worst chief execs in football,l including Sunday league. let’s face it the club lacks ambition when it comes to transfers, we sign poor players over and over and if there is any glimpse of quality and interest from other clubs we sell then plough the money back into poor players.

Club mentality of offering 3 year contacts to cloggers and some who shouldn’t be anywhere near league football then to offload any player who attracts a few quid

2019 - relegation, hopes of pissing the league.
2020/21 - Covid and the uptake was poor, under 10k.
2021 - back to good uptake, not a surprise no live football for 18 months, manager with real pedigree at this level.
2022 - Mark Hughes as manager and an upturn at the end of the season, why not sounds great!
2023 - okay the footballs not being great but we are in the playoffs and who knows a late run we might get autos.
2024… what’s the pull this time? I’ve called people out on here before saying the season tickets won’t drop, there’s always been something to draw us in. Not this time, we’re likely to end bottom half of a division everyone’s sick of playing garbage football with two muppets at the top who have no clue about football.

Very clever ploy by the club.
Demonise the player, so next week when he's sold the club doesn't get the criticism.
This tactic has been played many times by many clubs.
Obviously this suits both player who wants away, and club that wants to sell, and it appeases fans.

 

If the club had any ambition they’d refuse all offers under 500k for Young and put him straight in the starting XI to replace Smith who yet again missed a sitter when it matters and only scores against kids in the pizza trophy.
