Dissapointing but not wholly unexpected.
I think Smallwood said in his interview earlier this week that Jake hadn't trained that day with the other players. Also GA said he wouldn't play a player he didn't feel was 100% fit in his interview. People jumping to conclusions over his absence could be well wide of the mark!

I knew this would happen , I said a few weeks ago he was injured and carrying an injury, it’s all on clear to see on video. I’d prefer the club sort it out before playing him unfit , unlike Swindon! Convenient truth and convenience at play here FB? Either way the conspiracy theories abound . If I were a betting man , he will go, that’s why I’m slightly unphased by it all. I hope he doesn’t but let’s see.

Of course GA will do the smoke and mirrors thing - that’s what managers do, it’s part of the game. We won’t see Jake Young in a city shirt again. He may have a minor knock, but if the possibility of a sale weren’t on the cards, or he were still at Swindon, he’d be lacing his boots up today.
