Has anyone actually seen Young linked to any other named clubs or discussed on their fan sites as someone they want? If so have they suggested figures they would be happy paying.

we do it on here on the transfer thread so was wondering if anyone had come across anything?

 

Yes 300k doesn’t even cover the rent hence why we don’t need to sell and if they want him they pay over the odds like all clubs do

 

And Portsmouth aren't even interested.

If we were to sell for a million pounds, we'd need a buyer who was interested enough and who actually had a million pounds. Looking at the league one table, I can't really see any.

I have every confidence that GA can get the best out of this lad. It is too early to think about selling him. If he does well for us and we gain promotion all well and good. We would probably want to keep him if we get promotion.

Personally I don’t think GA would have included Young in training etc with the rest of the first team, if the intention was for him to leave again. Totally counter productive and a waste of everyone’s time and effort

Why would it turn out embarrassing? It shows we value him and want to keep him but if the right offer comes in, we might consider selling. It's a win win situation.

 

That’s the risk I’d take. But everyone is assuming the player will want to stay and “play ball”, and round and round we go. Everyone is forgetting the player . That’s the other conundrum, because bear in mind it’s attractive to him to get a transfer because he gets a lump sum out of any deal plus far higher remuneration. Remember he , so far, has NOT asked to be put on the transfer list so the % age of any deal is his.

 

Yes probably. This is where the coaching staff come in. He has shown mental strength in playing so well with Flynn in charge.

 

He has no interest in being awkward, if he does he could single handle destroy his career.

 

Let's hope your both correct, but I don't think we can take too much into him not being a starter or not being on the bench I know its a long shot but the buying club have some times allowed the player to continue at the club, George Miller being one example when Barnsley bought him.

 

And the club will get pelters for not selling.
