Absolutely. It was mystifying why SM froze out a player who had more than proved himself for us and subsequently went on to help Bolton gain promotion with a string of assists.

Agree it was a bad miscalculation to release PM when we did.
He had a bad knee injury I recall at start of that season and was working hard to get back to his best.
Went on to have a stellar second half of that season at Bolton

 

There's only one opinion that's bizarre pal and it isn't the one that would rather keep the clubs 1 in 2 striker instead of swapping him for someone who's scored just 6 goals in 27 games at the same level.

Taylors not playing so our differing thoughts on him are largely irrelevant at the minute anyway.

I know …that’s weird. Taylor’s downfall and perhaps Stubbs too, is the back three seems to be the one GA likes. Unless there is a serious drop off in form the only way in is injury and suspension.
