A decent Academy , not sure if it’s done them any good though? I think they have overspent to the tune of £40m , poor crowds circa 3.5k which is 18th in L2 and a very very generous owner in Cowling.

The Council owns the stadium by paying 2/3rds of the cost of building along with other grants . I think JobServe pay the stadium rent , a company owned by the owner.

They have had one or two decent value player sales but they are all quite a long time ago.

A decent little stadia holding 10k built in the middle of nowhere , but adjacent to the A12.

Morais asked City to release him saying he had an offer from a Scottish club but instead he joined Parkinson at our rivals Bolton!!! City being very naive!

 

I have no idea either FB. I think that's part of the point I was trying to make. For expectations we could say performance targets etc. Maybe we were "expecting" more than they thought they could deliver, and I admit they might base that decision on their perception of the club infrastructure and personnel....or maybe they really did want to stay nearer home. Or maybe having spent the last few years higher up the leagues, they might have decided they don't like the pressures. Either way I'm happy with GA.

They've had 3 managers this season and with Etherington they couldn't have him as manager for his first game due to a legal dispute with Crawley so not that professional and well run. Their chairman tried to claim that they would have a top 6 budget this season so either he is way off with that or they are massively underperforming.

Quite content with GA tbh. Who cares the Cowley brothers are at Colchester now; still not gonna be easy to keep them up this season.

You mean a player who's a proper target man, that can also score goals and spent a good portion of his career at Leahue 1 and league 2 level. Only signed for Wrexham because of the money. You're very closed off with your history if you think that.

And I think Ash Taylor is steady away. Done a good job in the games I've seen him, except MK. But no one played well at MK.

You're basically singling out a player for whatever reason to have a vendetta against, which is strange from what I'm guessing is a fully grown person.

 

And now he can't get into a League two sides match squad.

Yet you'd swap him for someone who hit over 30 goals just last season and has a 1 goal in every 2 games scoring record for us?

Another managerial signing in the league, Karl Robinson is expected to be named Salford manager this morning. Doesn't appear to be a great amount of business done in L2 so far this winter, other than a load of loans being cancelled.

 

As I posted with regards McDonald wanting to continue playing rather than take the managers job when it was offered pertinently I'm not sure Derbyshire would retire, I do agree logically at his age you would think maybe a coaching role would be better so at least he has day to day involvement, lets be honest you hear some of the comments why players want to continue and some of the stuff they say they will miss, a guy in a normal 9 to 5 job would get disciplined for some of the pranks they pull on fellow team mates.

 

Yes I believe Fil and his agent got the club to allow him to leave foe a club supposedly in Scotland that didn't materialise and he joined Parky at Bolton.
