We need an improvement either way. Gillead and Smallwood are very mediocre at times and need some genuine competition to rotate with. I thought we had that with Pattison but if he's out we definitely need A.N.Other starter and not just a squad filler.

Keep in mind, they turned us down after having a good look, which implies Colchester are a more professional/well-structured/ambitious outfit....

When a player is paid off with him being allowed to try and find another club does the club offloading said player have to pay all his wages up or are they still payed on a month by month basis ?.

In his opinion, it will be interesting to see what he/they can do for Colchester.

 

Do they? I've no idea what their expectations are. And for managers who've spent the last few years one or two league's higher, I'd doubt the notion of the 'pressures' that come with this job were a factor.
