So East goes, guessing they’ve taken over his contract. Big question is how many more looking at the exit door?

 

Eastham is 33. I was mainly comparing to over the hill old boys. Threlkeld was younger tbf but a disaster anyway. Songo didnt work out either.

He's signed an 18 month deal so might be on a little less but he has more long term security. I can't see that Rochdale have paid a big fee for him but any fee is better than none. It's a win win allround, he gets the chance to continue playing regularly and gets a fresh start in his career as he needs to be playing at his age or he was at risk of falling down the levels. We get a player off the books and if we were paying any of his wages whilst at Rochdale that fees some wages up for January.

I know a few contributors on here will have a shopping list but I don't see many players coming in. It will be more about trimming the squad.

Wasn’t going to be anywhere near the current starting 11 so a no brainer for him really.

 

Depends who leaves I guess, and I can only see upgrades, not fillers.

 

I can see Stubbs going. Your mobile CB is Odusina. Young should get sold to a Div 1 club like Peterborough

 

I can see Stubbs going and Odusina going back out on loan or freed to join another club, especially if Norwich allow us to keep Tomkinson until end of season

 

I would like to see us make an offer to buy him. He has been excellent in the last two games.
Wont be expensive with a decent sell on clause to Norwich.

 

Peterborough with a decent sell on fee should be a good earner for us in a couple of years once they manage to command a multi million fee for him.

 

We'd need to win promotion.

He wasn't far off starting for Norwich in the Championship until he picked up a knock!

There was a higher chance of Norwich asking for him back in January if he hadn't started playing. They may still do if he drops out of the team again as they want him to play.

 

I doubt if he will progress at Norwich but who knows?

Anyone hear about Stubbs failing a Barnsley medical in the summer? 'Apparently' he has agreed a move there which is why he is out of favour.

Very true in fact despite the massive criticism of Taylor it was Stubbs who was particularly bad against Notts county,I think he will be gone in January. I think there maybe a few surprise exits as well like Chapman

 

I'd be surprised if Barnsley have come back in for him.
