    This scene was shown on a Facebook Stadia page c2000 looking down from Forster Square. Does show even 20 years ago that the train looks from the 1970s. Wondering if anyone else has got some pics around the ground from years gone by?

    Ah the Geoffery Richmond era. When his ambition began to turn into reality both on and off the pitch. Going by that picture, the Kop will have been in operation for its first season as we graced the Premier League for the first time. The Midland Road Stand would have been about 3 years old? Fast forward another year and work will have been well underway on the corner section and second tier of the main stand.

    Quite amazing what a transformation we went through during that 4-5 year period. Such a shame he succmmed to the '6 weeks of madness'! A lot of damage caused which we still this very day have not fully recovered from.

    I always had it mind that this replay was played at Maine Road.

    Just checked wiki, it does say Old Trafford.
