The “Rupp Out” Twitter account that was behind the tennis ball stunt that never happened has now been deleted. What a surprise!

Why get all sarky about it, just folk having a debate on forum. Cos like, that's what forums are for? Just because as fans we don't have millions down the back of the sofa doesn't mean we should refrain from discussion.

A puzzling mentality. I was trying to think of something to compare it to. All I could think of is saying you can’t complain about the government’s awful decisions that are lowering the standards of living, unless you’re going to become prime minister yourself and change it. I don’t know where people get their thought processes from sometimes, yes master, no master three bags full.

Its the Ricky Gervais/guitar lessons analogy all over again. If you don't like it move on, its not for you.

Couple of wins and the thread dries up yet the club is still rudderless under RUPP. When we inevitably fail this season, the majority will still sit silently on their hands.

    RUPP OUT

Everyone's so desperate for a repeat of the Parky appointment that people are kinda holding their breath at this point.

My guess is we'll look incredibly flimsy when we're tested by better sides, given Accrington and FGR looked really poor.

We've got a rough run of 5 or 6 games coming up.

If we look great after this period, everyone will be happy.

    I suspect we won't.

It seems kinda ludicrous to bank on going 'back to basics' when most of the division plays that way and can't compete with the better sides who already evolved (Notts County, Wrexham, Stockport, I imagine MK Dons and Swindon can also beat the dross).

Our best bet right now is to be that direct ball side that just happens to be a little better than the other direct ball sides. Needless to say, I'm not convinced.

Unbeaten against Stockport, Wrexham , and Mansfield, beaten top 7 sides in Crewe and Stanley suggests we can compete with the best in the league though

Truthfully I’ve just given up… missed 3 home games on the bounce which is unheard of. Won’t be going Tuesday and I would have normally gone.

will go next week but I’d normally spend 30 quid in the ground pies pints etc. Not anymore… they’ve had a really easy ride from fans for years, sorry but that’s needs to change. Hitting them where it hurts and hopefully more people are doing the same.

    Absolutely
We seem to have a fan base scared of change I have no idea what would have to happen to make people change their minds
Last season was classed as progress yet we are still in the khazi league we have regressed so badly under R&S it's unbelievable that some fans want to change nothing/happy to plod along
Convinced they would still not want change in the National League
Rupp needs to learn the unrest but is happy to distance himself whilst his investment stagnates
Sparks ain't a "football man" which we badly need
GA can only go so far till the wheels come off then we blame/sack the manger and start again

We got lost of those points based on defensive rigidity under Hughes.

If we're going to start playing fast and loose with direct ball, I don't think we'll get the same results, sadly.

The same mentality that would see some clap like demented seals following a 3-0 away defeat to Wealdstone in the National league
Just happy to have a team to support :x3::x3::x3:

Tennis balls on at Eastleigh from the Reading fans. Fair play to them for standing up to their terrible owners.

Let's see where they get with their protest, a few more wins under Alexander and Rupp will be lower on the priority list.

Late to to the party, but I’ve just started watching the Wrexham documentary.
Wow. Two episodes in and I’m already envious. Chalk and Cheese. Can we get Harvey back?

At the time of Shaun Harvey joining Wrexham it was as an advisor and only temporally, with him still being there after 3 years in February he must be enjoying rubbing shoulders with movie stars and is getting well pay for it.

Had a meeting with Shaun Harvey , whilst he was at city. Did not like the chap at all, very slippery and seemed to be in it for progressing himself, not the club. Hence he finished up working for the FA.
Dave Baldwin on the other hand !

Personal opinion Offy…. It’s full of Corporate David Brent speak. Fine words but where is the substance ?
I have literally been on half a dozen of these corporate week long , residential training events over many years and each one says the same thing using different words.

He is saying stuff I learnt 30 years ago, just different terminology and a different industry.

“The key thing is that there’s a plan … quite a lot of other clubs think that I’m the plan.” - David Artell

I'm not sure who the other clubs flying by the seat of their pants are, but there's no question we're in this bracket.

A plan is only as good as it's execution, naturally, but the whole point of a plan is it narrows your focus.

You can see, frankly, Ryan Sparks has absolutely no focus whatsoever.

Sorry Jon , I’m missing your point . No idea what anything written has to do with Sparks . I read it and commented about corporate “ speech” that’s all it is . Been there seen it, written them , done it, enacted it .
Any and every business has a “ plan” , any business can say it got a plan, very very rarely, if ever , are they ever published for outside consumption . Unless it’s published there is no scrutiny , no responsibility , no accountability to anyone other than an “ owner” , shareholder or investors. To anyone else ….” it’s a plan” . Unless it’s visible it’s meaningless .

In other words , that’s what they are, just words. Which takes me nicely back to my original point ….
