If this is the forecast then surely a case has to be made for the pitch draining enough by 3pm for the match to be playable.

 

It’s a big loss for the club if this is off as it’s one of the games all the corporates come out to play, booking up all the suites hoping to see Giggs etc.

 

I’ve done a lot of driving Thursday and Friday and have to say the conditions have been appalling, seen a few crashes along the way as well. So much standing water around.

Usually I come on here and say what’s the fuss about, but I’d be surprised if this one goes ahead the pitch must have taken a serious beating with the water.

 

It’s only rained overnight and this morning, we have played games where it’s rained all week. Will be really surprised if it’s off.

 

I hope it’s on just so we can see what @NorthernMonkey does with his bet.

 

Incredible amounts of water around, it's got no where to go to, it's saturated.

 

It has stopped raining here now. Looking like that forecast I put up is correct. Fingers crossed, we need wind now to dry it out a bit.

 

I think best we can hope for the game being on is that the referee thinks the pitch is on the edge but with an improving forecast and hopefully some magic from the groundsmen we can improve the pitch over the next hour and do another inspection at 12:30
