Looking at league 2 transfer fees over the last few years and there aren’t many which have been revealed. Posh have spent big on a couple. There’s McKirdy and Thomas-Asante and Jake Beesley who all went for £350k-£400k but to the SPL or the champ. Jake at £250k is probably about right but with add ons and suspect a league 1 team wanting goals

 

I'd be disappointed with £250k for a young striker scoring for fun and contracted for at least another 18 months

 

Be prepared Idle, very very few cash transfers out of L2 have taken place in the last two windows that I can see . Two I think and one of them was US …£35k on Richards according to TMkt.

When McDonald said he didn't want the managers job permanently because he wanted to continue playing I offered a couple of scenario's where he could possibly come unstuck because of his desire to continue playing, one was not being fancied by the new manager, the other being an injury which we know older players usually take longer to return.
Alexander took control on 6th November and McDonald was not selected in the 18 man squad that day and that has been the case every game since, so if we could offload McDonald another club possibly taking over his contract that would be good for both parties.

 

He was one of our better players under Hughes, I don't understand why he can't make the bench even given the formation Alexander prefers.

 

I'd be very surprised if we were interested unfortunately that boat has sailed especially with Hughes not being at the club anymore, a shame as the lad looked more than comfortable at league two level.
