If he’s not sold and remains with us there is NO value to the club. Don’t you understand that? So WORTH ZERO. It’s not that difficult to grasp surely?

If he stays with us and no offers come in , it’s just the same, he’s worth ZERO to the club in monetary terms.

 

£250,000 isn’t a fee paid readily by 99% of L1/2 clubs . A point you are clearly missing.
If he goes for a “decent fee” there is a strictly limited number of clubs with cash available if last summers dealings are a benchmark.

Like you said earlier, he’s a good finisher but sulks and is lazy when things not going his way in a game.

 

It is for someone who you got on a free and has hardly played for you. I'm sure we'll take a larger fee if offered it.

 

Whatever happens I think we need to exactly where he is spending the rest of the season before we recall him.
If we recall him otherwise with the intention of selling him, we can't play him ourselves in Jan as he couldn't be registered at a 3rd team. Not a great look if a deal doesn't then materialise.
If we recall him with the intention of playing him, there's still a risk he doesn't fit in our system - direct swap for Tyler Smith? and if it doesn't work out again his value will drop again.
Or he stays at Swindon. I actually don't think a renegotiated loan is a terrible move. So what if he scores a ton of goals and Swindon finish above us. I'm sure plenty on here would feel aggrieved but us not making the top 7 is down to us, not whether Young has scored for Swindon or not. If he goes on to bag 30+ goals I think the situation looks different in the summer then

 

I'm not missing the point. I clearly said in an earlier post that a League 1 club desperate for some goals will pay a decent fee for someone with 20 goals before Xmas. It's not a fee paid by everyone but someone will pay it.
