If we are serious about getting into the playoffs we have to ruin Swindons chance by taking him back.

Considering Swindon are probably now one of our biggest rivals for a play off spot, it’s nailed on that we won’t allow him to stay there.
Same applies to Kemp with MK Dons.

 

They'll drop off massively. Aside from scoring goals, they're not very good

Just added another 25k to his valuation.

 

He’s worth zero if he stays with us.

 

250k plus another 10k for every other goal he bags between now and Jan. And we want a sell on clause and another 100k if they go up!

 

Well thats nonsical. His goals could be worth 7 figures to the club if he takes us up - and he could be worth a pretty penny in the summer.

Young is a real asset to our club whether he comes back or is sold.

 

Doubtful, he won't be able to be re-registered in our squad in time as players need to be registered the day before. I also suspect the recall clause won't be valid until at earliest 2nd Jan.

Whether he likes it or not, tough sh1t. It reduces Swindons chances plus gives our forwards some competition. It can only be a win-win for us, after all he will be getting paid peanuts as it is. Get him back

 

We’ve been bitten by this twice now and both involving Swindon. Loaning players to another club in the same division is just plain stupid.
If Young was banging them in for Stevenage we’d be pretty annoyed but it wouldn’t be impacting our own league position and chances of promotion.
Even if we bring him back and don’t play him, it weakens Swindon who are currently one of the clubs who could take 7th place.

 

Jake Young is 22 years of age and the leagues top goalscorer. Talk of selling him for £250k is ridiculous, that will get us one decent player at best.
