No I don't know anything, but tbh that wasn't my point. My point is simple; if he's reasonably open to coming back and being committed, let's do it. And that might mean some persuasion. But if he's dead against it and steadfastly refutes the idea then its pointless bringing him back on the basis of 'well tough, you have a contract here'. In that case it'd be a waste of time for all, misguided in expecting him to perform, would erode his value and tarnish/exacerbate our reputation within the player community as a club to avoid.

It all depends on his mindset, and I hope his issue was with Hughes rather than the club, and that things aren't beyond repair.

Or we bring him back and sell him because we've had a good offer.

And you're right about Hughes training methods. Lots of noise coming out, and tbf many on here were coming concerns long ago. Another veiled reference form GA in the T&A about player fitness levels being poor, but 'not because they lack a willingness to work'. Let's beyond, the one thing that characterised Hughes approach was a lack of intensity and proactive mindset.

That's another option, if things are broken. I always thought he had something though and he's showing it now. If he's up for it, get him back and in the team.

I think seeing as how he had Osadebe on the bench on Saturday, ahead of Pointon and Wilson, GA might be keeping him

We aren't going to be able to shift Ridehalgh, Derbyshire or McDonald...

We need to be more realistic than just picking the older, slower players.

It's generally the younger types we can shift, but several of them are already out on loan.

Wouldn't cry if Osadebe, Oduor or Oliver left, and not because I have something against the letter 'O' lol

Compared to letting our asset improve another club ? He's ours, we paid a fee for him, we gave him the opportunity to set up a level from Forrest Green Vegans. The manager who alienated him has gone. Why would we not bring him back and use him, why would he stagnate ?

Swindon may have paid us a "loan fee" part of which will need to be refunded, but the fact remains that the payslip he gets each month will say Bradford City AFC on it and all that loan fee is doing is compensating us for not having his services.

His beef was with Mark Hughes not Bradford City.

But if you think selling him to Swindon is the way to go, or worse still continuing to loan him to Swindon, then carry on and knock yourself out.

Neville has simply explained the SCMP system as used in Leagues 1 & 2 .. and done it very badly or it's been misunderstood in the process. SCMP has been in use now for over 10 years and improved and tweaked over time. Although the EFL tried to ditch it a couple of years ago and replce it with a more onerous fixed salary cap system, that never saw the light of day after the PFA got involved and it was kicked out. The SCMP was reinstated with some further improvements.

I suspect that you've not heard of it only because Neville's description has confused the situation! ;)

Not sure how much it will effect East as I'd imagine Rochdale are paying his wages in full if not, likely near enough. But, Rochdale haven't paid their players for November. All players and staff have received just 25% of their expected monthly pay packet, with internal discussion of a takeover coming in and the current owner doesn't want to pay any extra money out.

It did sound very stretched out for a process we'd all surely know of, if in place.

I doubt they are paying him anything. We will have received a loan fee for his services to cover most of his wages.

I'd probably just bring all the loanees back, get rid of all the current loan players and we probably need to bring in a RB as Oyegoke won't play again for us this season.

With Oliver and Chapman back, soon we will have Pattison too, plus East and Young will be back in the first team fold.

There's no point bloating the squad further plus we won't go up or down. Might as well just get to the summer and then have a clear out of all the deadwood.

Yes, he's confusing a few things. All EFL clubs, including those who are in the throes of being taken over, do have to submit what's known as Future Financial Information to the EFL which sets out how a club will finance itself. It's designed to demonstrate how robust a club's finances are and to avoid another Bury. FFI does have many similarities with a business plan. It may prompt further questions from the EFL but despite what somebody on here posted, it doesn't mean that club owners have to automatically lodge a large amount of cash with the EFL as a condition of a club takeover.

Is the comment on Oyegoki due to a serious injury or just loss of form/fact Brad’s been great lately?

I just think Hughes going may have an impact on Jake Young hell of a lot of rumblings about him falling out with players and having his favourites .............. maybe all Young needed was an arm around the shoulder rather than the cold shoulder.

Another big selling point is that hes from up here now im certain he would rather be based in the north.

I just got a feeling conversations between GA and him will have taken place already

I've no idea about where his head is at, and I've made my point pretty clearly in other posts.
