I believe that Gregory was sold to Millwall around a week before we sold Wells, that said, Parky was looking for a Wells replacement which was why he was after Agard, Gregory would have been a Hanson replacement.

 

If some "investment by Rupp" translates into him paying off the contracts of 5/6/7 players that Alexander feels won't play/fit into his system and then a couple come in then I'd say that's a decent window. It won't be cheap to let people go, it will need some money, so if Rupp dips in to do that then that would be a good move for me.

Gregory isn't linked at all. Someone just wrote an article about how he would be a good signing for us.

It's clear that we need practically a new defence aside from Halliday. A few midfield improvements and a striker or two would be ideal, in my opinion.

Not sure about a GK because a decent one wouldn't want to come sit on the bench and the wages would be better spent elsewhere as Doyle has shown in the cup that he's still able to get down and pull off a couple of saves.

 

Be tough in January. Some of these players looked dreadful under Hughes guidance but look different players under the new guy and look much better

 

I think bring back Young.

The rest is re-jig what we have.

Including getting rid of a few loans.

 

How are we going to get him back if he doesn’t want to come. Players are not robots you can’t just switch them off and on at will. I was sorry that he had a spat with Hughes. If we can sweet talk him back, that would be fantastic but he also needs to realise that he has to compete with other players. If he starts scoring for us again then he will be first on the team shirt.

 

He is under contract to BCAFC.

He may not have a problem now MH isn't here.

Compete with other players, I think it might be a case of "other players" upping their game to his abilities.

 

Because he is under contract to us. He can come back ans sulk, but it would only harm his career.

 

This attitude with our strikers over the past few years has got us absolutely nowhere! He either returns full of hunger and positivity or we are best cashing in on a hot property and give GA some genuine funds to start his rebuild where necessary.
I think he really will reduce numbers but look for more quality- what we were promised in the summer!

 

To be fair, I can only think of Doyle where its happened before and when he came back the manager who ruined him was still here.

By all means sell him if a league one club comes in, but not to Swindon or any other promotion chasing teams.

Bring him back, make him understand who actually pays him and if he sulks sell him in the summer.

 

There is a new energy and optmiism around the players under GA and maybe Young would benefit from that attitude rather than the dreary negative outlook MH seemed instill in the players

 

He’s under contract. Nothing else to say.

 

A couple of things in our favour if we want him back, aside from him being under contract. One is that Hughes is no longer here, and the other is he is a local lad.

 

Also he's not played enough to get to the point where fans are giving him constant pelters, in fact he was getting a lot of calls for him to play, so he probably likes the fans / club still... that said, isn't he a dog botherer?
